MICROBLADING
Microblading is the extraordinary new treatment that has taken the beauty world by storm, and with good reason too! Unlike the sometimes stronger, more solid effects of semi-permanent make-up, Microblading creates extremely fine, natural looking hair-like strokes which mimic existing brow hair, making it hard to tell the real from the fake! Its a complex embroidery technique which, if done correctly, will blend with and enhance your own brows in order to perfectly define, accentuate existing shapes, fill gaps, and even fully reconstruct completely missing eyebrows. Depending on your skin type, general lifestyle and overall continuous aftercare following the treatment, your new brows will last anything from 6 to 36 months.
The Initial Consultation

The consultation is important for both parties and will normally last no more then 60 minutes. Initially and essentially, we will ascertain that there are no contra~indications that will prevent the treatment from being carried out. This will be done by thoroughly examining your existing brows and going through your medical history. Once this has been completed, we will discuss the treatment in depth, look at pigment colours, brow shapes and finally go through the aftercare regime. I will be on hand to answer all your questions and, if satisfied, we can conclude the consultation by performing a patch test ~ this will eliminate any possibility of any potential adverse reaction to the pigments that we will be using on the day of the treatment. We will never begin the tattoo process until you are completely satisfied with everything discussed.
The Treatment

On the day of the treatment, we will go through what was discussed during the consultation to ensure that you are still happy with everything and that there has been no changes in your medial history. Subject to a satisfactory patch test, we will ask you to sign a consent form so that we may begin the treatment . We will then prep you and ask you to lie down. The treatment area will be cleaned and disinfected and the new shape will be drawn over your existing brows. Once you are satisfied with the new shape we will commence. Using a sterile and disposable microblading tool, tiny precision hair strokes will be created by hand, mimicking the natural direction and lengths of your brows. Pigment is then implanted into the channels created by the microblading tool within the dermal layer of the skin (0.3~0.8mm from the surface of the skin). As with all permanent makeup treatments, the treated area will look up to 50% darker immediately following the treatment. This will fade gradually within the first 7 days following the treatment. In total, the treatment will generally take approximately 3 hours. The brows may feel a little tender and possibly have a little redness upon completion of the treatment. We will apply some healing balm over your new brows and go through the aftercare plan once again. Post treatment care makes up 70% of the treatments' success so it is imperative that all instructions are followed carefully.
Failure to perform the after care accurately can cause up to 80% of strokes to be 'lost'.
The Post Treatment 'Top-Up'

A second appointment will be needed 4-6 weeks after your initial treatment. As the area is healing, some parts may not ‘hold’ as well as others and you may have a few patches that need more colour. This is completely normal and everyone heals differently so we do advise that you keep in touch so that we may advise how to best proceed on this. Depending on the healed result, the top-up can take up to 2 hours.
